We are pleased to announce this student-led roundtable conversation on the role of religion in public life.
How should religious, agnostic, and atheistic views be expressed in American civil dialogue, law, voting, and policy? Join us for an evening conversation on this topic featuring Rebecca Markert, legal director for the Freedom From Religion Foundation, and Michael Wear, founder of Public Square Strategies and former director of faith outreach for Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign. Moderated by Dr. Muhammad Khalifa of the University of Minnesota.
Organizing student groups include Anselm House, Campus Atheists, Skeptics, and Humanists (CASH), Coptic Orthodox Christian Association, the Muslim Student Association, and Philosophy Club. This event is sponsored by SUA Grant Initiatives, Secular Student Alliance, Student Services Fees, the Veritas Forum, and the Coca-Cola Activity Initiative.
