Campaign Manager / Executive Assistant

Anselm House is seeking a highly organized and missionally aligned Campaign Manager / Executive Assistant to play a key role in advancing the organization’s fundraising and development efforts. This position will support the successful execution of Anselm House’s capital campaign while providing high-level administrative support to the Director of Advancement.

The Campaign Manager / Executive Assistant will coordinate campaign logistics, track progress toward campaign goals, support donor engagement efforts, prepare materials and reports, and help ensure that communication among staff, leadership, volunteers, board members, and campaign counsel is timely and effective. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, discreet, and comfortable working behind the scenes to help development staff and organizational leaders achieve strategic fundraising goals.

Anselm House is a center for Christian thought and formation serving the University of Minnesota community. Our mission is to help students and faculty connect faith and knowledge with all of life. We provide hospitality and educational programs for students, host conversations, lectures, and courses for the broader university community, and support faculty and academic engagement through our Center for Faith & Learning.

For more than forty years, Anselm House has equipped students, faculty, and university leaders for faithful service in the university, the church, and the world. Anselm House has historic roots in two organizations serving the University of Minnesota: Christian Student Fellowship, founded in 1974, and the MacLaurin Institute, founded in 1982.

St. Anselm of Canterbury was an 11th-century theologian, philosopher, monk, and church leader. Details

Campaign Coordination and Logistics

The Campaign Manager / Executive Assistant will help coordinate the day-to-day execution of Anselm House’s capital campaign. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with implementation of the campaign plan and overall campaign timeline.
  • Tracking deadlines, deliverables, next steps, and campaign milestones.
  • Coordinating campaign materials, including donor lists, case statements, campaign updates, newsletters, stewardship communications, and related documents.
  • Monitoring campaign progress and compiling data to assess performance and support strategic adjustments.
  • Preparing reports and updates for organizational leadership, board members, campaign counsel, and campaign volunteers.

Donor Engagement Support

This position will support donor-facing work by helping ensure that outreach, follow-up, and donor records are well coordinated. Responsibilities include:

  • Organizing donor outreach efforts, including scheduling meetings, tracking interactions, and preparing follow-up materials.
  • Maintaining accurate donor and prospect records in Anselm House’s CRM and campaign management systems.
  • Tracking commitments, gifts, pledges, donor communications, and follow-up actions.
  • Assisting with the planning and execution of campaign-related events, including donor briefings, receptions, recognition activities, and stewardship gatherings.
  • Supporting donor prospect research and benchmarking against similar organizations.

Advancement and Campaign Administration

This role will serve as a key administrative and coordination point for the Advancement team and campaign leadership. Responsibilities include:

  • Serving as a liaison among development staff, organizational leadership, campaign counsel, board members, campaign volunteers, and key committees.
  • Supporting the Campaign Steering/ Development Committee, Executive Campaign Committee, and other volunteer or board-led groups as needed.
  • Preparing meeting agendas, taking minutes, maintaining records, and following up on action items.
  • Coordinating committee meetings, off-site gatherings, and related communications.
  • Helping ensure that committee members and volunteers receive timely information and clear next steps.

Executive Assistant Support to the Director of Advancement

The Campaign Manager / Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative support to the Director of Advancement. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the Director of Advancement’s calendar, including meetings, calls, conferences, travel, and donor appointments.
  • Conserving the Director’s time by reading, researching, prioritizing, and routing correspondence and information.
  • Drafting correspondence, documents, meeting materials, and follow-up communications.
  • Coordinating regular Advancement Team meetings and tracking team action items.
  • Liaising with the Executive Director, Development Team, and other staff to support donor-facing preparation and follow-through.
  • Collecting meeting notes, donor follow-up items, and event preparation materials.
  • Serving as a dependable point of coordination for advancement-related communication, records, and administrative systems.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week, benefits-eligible salaried position. Starting salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, with an anticipated base salary range of approximately $55,000–$65,000, plus benefits.

Benefits include:

  • Health insurance: Anselm House pays 70% of the employee’s monthly premium and 40% of dependent premiums. Dental and vision coverage may also be available.
  • Retirement savings: After one year of employment, employees are eligible to participate in a SIMPLE IRA. Anselm House provides a 3% employer match when the employee contributes at least 3% of gross salary.
  • Paid time off: Paid vacation accrued quarterly, 9–10 paid holidays annually, and 48 hours of sick leave annually.
  • Professional development: Discretionary additional paid time off may be available for continuing education or professional development.
  • Insurance coverage: Employees are automatically enrolled in short-term disability, long-term disability, and term life insurance programs.
