CFL Program Manager

The Center for Faith and Learning (CFL) at Anselm House is seeking a Program Manager to support its growing programming and team. The Program Manager is responsible for the development and execution of CFL programming and will also provide administrative support for the CFL team.

Who We Are

Anselm House is a center for Christian studies with a mission to help students and faculty at the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities) connect Christian faith & knowledge with all of life. The Center for Faith and Learning, a division of Anselm House, is a vibrant community of faculty, staff, and graduate students exploring the resources of the Christian moral and intellectual tradition for the University of Minnesota's academic research and teaching. We host conversations and lectures (often open to the general public), and organize seminars, workshops, and conferences for the UMN academic community. For more than forty years, the Christian collegiate community of Anselm House has been equipping the next generation of servant leaders for faithfulness in the university, the church, and the world. Anselm House has historic roots in two organizations serving the University of Minnesota: the Christian Student Fellowship (founded 1974) and the MacLaurin Institute (founded 1982).

Our Namesake

St. Anselm of Canterbury was an 11th century theologian, philosopher, monk, and church leader. He is remembered for, among other things, the concept of “faith seeking understanding.” He believed that our faith and our knowledge of the world were interdependent. His life of thoughtful faithfulness provides a model for our presence at the university.

Our Values

Hospitality: We open our lives (and living rooms) to the University of Minnesota community, honoring the heart-soul-mind-strength complex that is every human person.

Character: We cultivate practices that order our lives to the true, good, and beautiful, believing that following Jesus requires careful attention to his way of being human.

Faith: We honor the breadth and depth of the Christian tradition, centered in the self-disclosure and self-giving of the Triune God in the person of Jesus Christ.

Knowledge: We support the University of Minnesota’s disciplined pursuit of knowledge, holding that a personal apprehension of reality is a guide to truth.

The candidate will be familiar with and comfortable within a university environment, able to listen well and translate ideas among a wide range of people within the university, crossing disciplinary boundaries and religious/ideological perspectives, and able to represent the breadth of the Christian tradition—Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox—within a secular university context.
