Junior Graphic Designer
Anselm House is pleased to announce that we are seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to join our growing team. This position will work under the Senior Graphic Designer and Brand Manager to support graphic communications needs and asset creation across all areas of the organization.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Graphic Design or a related field
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- A strong eye for foundational typography, color theory, and layout design
- A strategic and creative thinker able to interpret design requests and develop them into meaningful deliverables on time, and on budget
- The ability to manage and complete multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Organizational skills to help manage digital assets for a growing organization
- Experience creating graphics for digital and printed marketing materials
- Must be local to the Twin Cities since this position will be required to be onsite a few days/week
ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:
- Experience with photography, videography, and/or photo/video editing
- Proficiency in Canva
- Knowledge of web design (especially WebFlow)
- Familiarity with motion graphics or animation
- Experience with preparing files for print and print production coordination

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under the supervision and guidance of the Graphic Designer & Brand Manager, the Junior Graphic Designer will be responsible for developing creative concepts and designs for a wide range of projects, including outreach flyers and posters, event marketing materials, social media assets, website visuals, printed appeals and newsletters, and more
- Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), and occasionally Canva, to produce high-quality graphics
- Collaborate with various project managers to understand design project goals, recommend creative solutions, and deliver compelling designs
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
- Learn and advocate for the company's brand guidelines; thoughtfully and critically design using these standards
- Follow design project deadlines in Clickup and check in with contributors (copywriters, editors, and interns) to ensure deadlines are met
- With the support of administrative staff, oversee digital asset management through the research of and implementation of a new asset management tool
- Stay updated on industry trends, design techniques, and tools to bring fresh ideas to the team
- Embrace feedback and willingly identify changes that could improve designs in the future
- Proof and prepare files for print production
