"Anselm House plays a unique role in stimulating conversations on important issues that should be a part of every university context and, more importantly, a central feature of every student’s college experience."

Being a part of the Anselm House community provides me with opportunities to interact across disciplines with faculty and students who have both diverse perspectives and an intense commitment to the significance of intellectual questions for daily life. Our interactions revolve around complex topics at the intersection of faith and learning where different scientific, humanist, and theological perspectives intermingle in productive ways. This has been especially evident for me through the Faculty Fellows program, which I have been privileged to participate in for the last several years. In particular, I have enjoyed helping to create several events of broader interest to individuals in the Twin Cities metropolitan area, such as the online dialogue with Alister McGrath about his 2020 book Born to Wonder: Exploring the Intersection of Faith and Science, or the recent discussion group of Michael Ruse’s 2018 book On Purpose. Anselm House plays a unique role in stimulating conversations on important issues that should be a part of every university context and, more importantly, a central feature of every student’s college experience.
